WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT IS IMPORTANT IN BOTH SALES AND MARKETING?
Sales and marketing might be two separate functions in your business but one key strategy used in either will be lethal.
The modern sales and marketing environments have evolved and changed dramatically.
The days of having a prepared pitch for every sales meeting or promoting content for ads just based solely on “what you offer” & not in the purpose of a specific core need are over.
One of the core mistakes you can’t make in sales or marketing in the modern environment is focusing solely on your business and what you do without considering what the ideal client you are trying to attract would be searching for.
YOU SHOULD BE WORKING OUT SPECIFIC PROBLEMS THAT YOUR IDEAL TARGET AUDIENCE WOULD BE LOOKING TO HAVE RESOLVED AND PROMOTING CONTENT ALIGNED WITH THIS.
It is important to note with this strategy that you need to add value CONSISTENTLY- just putting up one post or piece of content and thinking that people will respond immediately is absurd. People need to have approximately 20 points of exposure now before they are likely to buy- and the number keeps increasing all the time due to the vast amount of information online.
Once you have consistently added value, and when the time is right, you can show the prospective buyer how what you are offering meets the specific issue they need resolved. Maintaining the focus on meeting the clients needs at all times is very valuable because it will enable you to listen properly and offer a suitable suggestion which they will be far more likely to take. It is also far more likely to result in the client wanting to build an ongoing relationship with you.
